Support for BTi and/or 4D Neuroimaging MEG data
The BTi/4D dataformat is supported thanks to the contributions from Christian Wienbruch. It requires creating two ASCII files (.4d and .xyz) with relevant header parameters (m4d) and coil locations (xyz) so you are able to read the original data. For that you need to use “pdf2set”, which is a c-program linked to the 4D libraries. The “pdf2set” program is available to 4D/BTi users.
The low-level reading functions are not included in FieldTrip, since they are maintained as a seperate toolbox (4D-VERSION) by Christian Wienbruch. A copy of the 4D-VERSION toolbox is available here. Extract the zip-file and put it on your matlab path, or copy the files into the “fieldtrip/private” directory. You should contact Christian Wienbruch if you want to have the latest version.
